The meaning of “fugue” is the following: A polyphonic composition, developed from a given theme or themes, according to strict contrapuntal rules. The theme is first given out by one voice or part, and then, while that pursues its way, it is repeated by another at the interval of a fifth or fourth, and so on, until all the parts have answered one by one, continuing their several melodies and interweaving them in one complex progressive whole, in which the theme is often lost and reappears.” And yes, the meaning inspired me even more than the actual instrumental piece but the music was a lovely inspiration.

Also, this could be taken as a continuation of Stripped (no seriously I mean that, I made a lot of references to my own fic without realizing it ahahaha) but can stand alone pretty fine. Also for those who are wondering what type of a ship Joker commands I suggest you look up Frigates. It’s very. Very interesting to see the pictures. *g*

Note: A new story set in the premises of the world originally set in the fic, Magnolia as well as a side story to Perdición. It is not necessary to read Magnolia in order to understand this (comments would be appreciated) but, it would be wise to read Perdición to understand a bit of where this is going. The basis of the AU is that Joker is a pirate and Bruce obviously is not- he’s an officer. But now... well now a couple of new characters must be brought in since they'll be showing up eventually in the next few chapters of Perdición. The characters may be a little OOC since I'm mostly going by memory of the animated series and the little I read of the comics (really has been meaning to read more) but I had fun with this. Written for the [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] Team challenge at [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and gosh I'm sorry for having been away for so long. ;~; I've missed the challenges, trust me.

Poem: Recuerdos de otro tiempo
Oct. 10th, 2009 06:54 pmNote: Wow, it's been a while since I posted here (has it really been over two months?!) O_O; I didn't mean to neglect any fics as long as I have but school has been totally killing me. Certain stories should be updated but haven't been and yet other things are being written. Such as this little poem. Mostly the inspiration came from the song I was playing and from Kirk/Spock in TOS. Yeah, who HASN'T been absorbed by that fandom? I began writing the poem in English and it was already finished as a poem in English but then as I read it over I didn't like it. And for some strange reason, the words began to change in my head so I translated most of the basic structure and added in more lines.
However this is my first try at rhyming in Spanish and I'm not entirely happy with how certain lines came out. Still, it's a nice poem and I wanted to shareand find an excuse to actually get on LJ when I shouldn't be. Most of you won't understand and if you try translating it, the feeling will just be gone. I couldn't feel it in English yet in Spanish I could and I happen to like that. :)
